No Time to Cook.

It has been a labor intensive week at the print studio, preparing the presentation on Mieke Bal for the Time Based Arts course and writing a short essay on Michael Snow’s Recent Snow exhibition. It has been busy but also very rewarding. As far as learning experience can go today was very special. First the students’ presentations on their favorite artists were amazing, increadibly articulated. I felt so fortunate for their insights. Next I went to Ken Lister’s presentation on his later investigations on Paul Kane’s collection and it was fascinating to follow his thoughts on the sketches, comparing the data with the watercolors and then paintings. Ken Lister was so passionate on talking about his research, his fieldwork and his travels tracing Paul Kane’s journeys. The food at the ROM that was kindly offered by the curators was delicious. Today was a quite extraordinary day.
